The New York State Archives will offer a free genealogy webinar, Organizing and Preserving Your Homes Archives, on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 12:30 p.m.
Our homes are often treasures of documents, memorabilia and other family heirlooms. Photographs, diaries, letters, books and other items need to be preserved and organized to ensure their protection for future generations. Learn best practices for maintaining your home archives including identifying materials to preserve, organizing objects and papers and steps to ensure your collections remain a part of your family’s history.
This webinar will be hosted by Thomas J. Ruller, the New York State Archivist and D. Joshua Taylor, president of the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society.
