The Max Kade Institute for German-American Studies has recently added a new webinar to Youtube.com.
The video is entitled “New York’s German-Language Press in Times of Peace and War (late 19th century to 1918).” The talk examines New York City’s German-language press on the eve of of World War I by looking at three newspapers: New Yorker Staats-Zeitung, the New Yorker Volkszeitung and the New Yorker Deutsches Journal.
The presenter, Peter Conolly-Smith, is a history professor at Queens College.
