Western New York public libraries offer genealogy help sessions

Several New York State public libraries will be offering genealogy help sessions this week.

The Palmyra Community Library (Wayne County) will offer genealogy and Ancestry.com help Tuesday, August 8 from 6- 7 p.m.

The Walworth Seeley Public Library (Wayne County) will provide genealogy assistance Wednesday, August 9 from 2-4 p.m.

The Prendergast Public Library (Chautauqua County) provides genealogy assistance every Friday from 2-4 p.m.

The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library will offer genealogy assistance in its Grosvenor Room on Saturday, August 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Volunteers from the Western New York Genealogy Society will assist researchers with the library’s collection and answer general research questions.
