The Irish Family History Forum, a member of the Genealogy Federation of Long Island, will be hosting a trolley tour of Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx on Sunday, April 7 at noon.
This event is only open to members and there is a limit of 26 participants.
The tour, which is 90 minutes, will stop at the graves of prominent people of Irish descent, from entertainers to politicians and historical figures to Civil War heroes.
The cost of the tour is $25 and is on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline to register is March 16. To register, you can pay by check at the upcoming February or March meetings or you can send a check to: Woodlawn Tour, IFHF, Box 67, Plainview, NY 11803-0067.
Tour goers will need to meet at the cemetery’s Jerome Avenue entrance by 11:45 a.m.
