The Italian Genealogical Society, which meets at the Bethpage Public Library in Nassau County, now has its scholarship applications available for 2024.
The scholarship is open to all high school seniors of Italian heritage throughout the United States. At least one grandparent or great-grandparent must be of Italian heritage.
Part of the application includes submitting a pedigree chart and research tracing the family back a minimum of four generations. In addition, the application must include a letter of recommendation from a member of the Italian Genealogical Society.
Applications are due on May 15, 2024. There will be no extensions.
