The Northern New York Library Network will be presenting a free webinar on “Searching New York State Historic Newspapers” on Thursday, July 11 at 2 p.m.
Follow along in an instructional tour of the powerful search tools at nyshistoricnewspapers.org. The presentation will be led by the manager of the site, Chuck Henry. This session will be a straightforward description of the search fields and facets, as well as the help menu where you can find guidance for the right syntax for those fields.
The new website has a much more robust search engine than the former site, which can uncover material that may have lain beyond discovery until now.
