Two New York genealogy websites were named to Family Tree Magainze 101 Best Genealogy Websites in its July/August 2024 issue.
The two websites are:
New York City Historical Vital Records Project – With over 10 million birth, marriage and death records, this website is well on its way to its goal of digitizing 13 million records. The records cover the mid-1800s to the mid-1900s. The originals are held at the Municipal Archives in Manhattan

Passenger Search, the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island – This passenger list website documents immigrant arrivals at the Port of New York. There are 65 million records in the collection.
