There will be a graveyard and church tour of the Historic Smithtown Landing Methodist Church on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 1 p.m.
Learn about the stories of the individuals buried in the graveyard and the significance of the church in the local community. This event is being held to showcase the completed and ongoing restoration work of the gravestones in this iconic graveyard. Since April 2024 a group of dedicated volunteers, headed up by Robert von Bernewitz, Long Island Graveyard Historian, has been working on cleaning and uprighting gravestones.
All proceeds from this event will go towards continuing restoration of this site. Admission at door is $20 cash.
Rain date will be Sunday, November 3 at 1 p.m.
