The Capital District Genealogical Society will host an in-person Genealogy Help Day on Saturday, April 26 at the Guilderland Public Library. It will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Whether you are a beginner or have a “brick wall” you are trying the break through, have a personal session with a member who will help you get some answers. Members have access to numerous subscription-based databases beyond the free ones available online and at public libraries.
For those who have questions about saving and digitizing photos, slides or objects, a member will hold demonstrations of scanning equipment and software. See how the equipment works and learn what you might need to digitize your collection. Also learn how to organize the material you capture so that you can easily retrieve it. These demonstrations will be at 10:30, 11:30, 1:30 and 2:30.
No registration is required.
