A cemetery cleanup will be jointly sponsored by the Urban Park Rangers and Friends of Abandoned Cemeteries Staten Island on Sunday, Feb. 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to preserve the Sleight Family Graveyard.
Learn more about the Sleight Family Graveyard and its significance within the local community. The graveyard is located on Arthur Kill Road on Staten Island.

The Friends of Lakeview Cemetery in Patchogue (Suffolk County) will host a cemetery cleanup on Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers will pick up leaves, litter and tree limbs, and remove invasive plants as part of the Union Cemetery restoration project. Wear work shoes and gloves, bring tools if you have them, or borrow tools from the group.
