The Friends of Concordia Cemetery, located in Buffalo, is seeking volunteers to help set up for live coverage of its next dig on Tuesday, Oct. 8 on WIVB TV4. The dig will be featured on WAKE UP so people are needed to help setup beginning at 6:30 a.m. and begin digging on the air live just after 7 a.m.
Once the broadcast ends, the group will continue with its normally scheduled dig. All are welcome to learn how to safely find, uncover, unearth, clean and reset tombstones. The group is trying to beat its previous record of found stones but are running out of time this season. The more hands, the more that can be accomplished.
The cemetery is located at 438 Walden Ave at Sycamore Street.
