‘Caring for Your Cemetery Day’ to take place on April 26

The New York State Division of Cemeteries is naming Saturday, April 26, “Caring for Your Cemetery Day.”

Help cemeteries in your area prepare for the Spring and Mother’s Day visits by volunteering to clean-up from the winter.

There are over 75 cemeteries participating this year from all over New York State. Some of the tasks volunteers might do include: cleaning up debris and trash; removing downed branches and removing overgrowth; removing old seasonal decorations; planting flowers or scattering grass seed.

Participating cemeteries are from every region. To see the participating cemeteries, go to: https://dos.ny.gov/cemetery-day
